Down sizing

I may or may not be moving this summer {it's still up in the air!}. This has me rethinking my wardrobe. Overtime I have accumulated a lot of stuff in general. In an effort to cut down on my "stuff", I have been more intentional about using the things I own {do I really need 6 different bottles of nearly the same nail polish?}. I would like to cut down the amount of clothing I own. Here is where I can use your help!
What are your wardrobe essentials? Don't be afraid to get specific!

H&K Style Journey did a great post about closet essentials. In their case it was about building up a wardrobe but you could follow it to pare it down to the essentials.

My essentials are jeans, cardigans, blazers, basic dresses and crazy shoes, haha

So smart, Lisa. Mine are great jeans (I literally can't have too many pairs but adore 7 for All Mankind's Roxanne skinnies), cardigans, boots (those killer Steve Maddens!), flats, and flirty sundresses.

I've been downsizing for an upcoming move as well, and my essentials seem to fall into one of two categories; the timeless basics, like good jeans and glassic sweaters, and the unique pieces that I will never be able to replace, even if I don't wear them very often.

Good luck with your closet cleanout!

LOVE how neat and organized this looks, if only my closet was anything like this! Some of my basic essentials: skinny jeans, ballet flats, cardigans, and lots of printed scarves xo
