Minimalist inspiration

Hello lovelies! I mentioned last week that I am too overwhelmed by my own wardrobe at the moment. For various reasons of life, I've accumulated pieces that just don't work anymore {I'm talking to you strappy, party wear!}.
Lately, the idea of a minimalist closet and living space appeals to me. I want to get to the point where I own less, but I use what I own. I'm not really afraid of wearing the same pieces over and over again, as long as those pieces are special in some way.
What I struggle with is that the minimialist athsetic appeals to me, but I also love romantic details. I'm working on incorporating the sentiments of both minimalist and romantic to have a functional wardrobe.
xx

I completely sympathise... I have dreams of being a minimalist, but the world is so full of pretty, sparkly, romantic things that I just can't resist!

I have half a tiny closet that I share with the hubby, and one small shelf with a few bins.. that's all I have to cram clothes into, lol..needless to say, I don't have a ton of stuff. I LOVE classic, modest, cozy pieces that I can mix around in different ways. I esp love turtlnecks and close fitting long sleeve shirts for layering when it's cold (seems I'm always cold lately.) I'm just naturally not into a lot of bling, so I guess that makes my modest lifestyle (necessitated by a meager income) easier :) I want that last grey turtleneck you posted - love grey and classic lines.

I think minimalistic works good and if you want to make a dif look try a nice accessory statement necklace, color bag...
