The whirlwind

Hello kittens! Now that Thanksgiving is over, academia is in the mad dash to the finish. While the study enthusiast above can maintain looking chic while emersing herself into the world of knowledge, I find keeping such a posh exterior in the midst of intellectual pursuit to be much more daunting. It is about the little luxuries to sustain until the thesis is over.
Tea, cozy scarves, and music. Small luxuries.
Do you have small comforts that help get you through busy times>

Oh man, I feel ya. Right before Christmas break over here is madness for Mr. Branflake. Some of my own little luxuries are Trader Joe's cookies, nice perfume, and candles.

Oh my, I remember when finishing my thesis that tea might have been the only reason I finished at all! I might as well have had an iv. :)

Best wishes as you close out the semester!

I'm with you, doll. Finals really might kill me this semester... Thank goodness for denim leggings and Ben & Jerry's.

Keep up the good work!! When I tried working last year, (with poor health) I felt like it was more than I could handle. I would feel so much better when I could escape somewhere in the country for a bit, and just sit and relax, soak up a little sunshine, stare, pray..it provided a much needed respite, both physically and emotionally. I have a favorite spot out on a secluded country road where I like to go and park. It's a good spot because no one lives on it, it's rare for any cars to drive it, and I can see all 360 degrees around me for some distance, (open fields) so if someone were trying to intrude upon me, I'd be able to get out of there before they could get close. In fact, I may need to go there today! (it shows up in a lot of my pics)

I love hot tea and a great book to relax during the hectic holiday season - love all the photos you chose :)

Coffee (of course!) and green tea. I love my hot drinks.

And power naps during the day. I tend to fall asleep on the bus a lot!
