Old Ebbitt Grill

When in DC, I had my Friday night dinner and drinks at the Old Ebbitt Grill.  Old Ebbitt has been in business since 1856 and is located just around the corner from the White House.  The restaurant is known for their oysters, steak, and creme brulee.
Handsome and I arrived before the rest of our party so we decided to relax at the bar.  After walking around hot DC's 100 degree weather, mojitos were a treat.
All of the wait staff had on these cute uniforms.  Guest dress code is casual, however many there were dressed business casual or nicer.
The booths are covered with a maroony velvet.  Lots of mahogany was used on the interior.  The service was attentive.  I had the strawberry salad {delicious}, mussels linguine, and creme brulee.  It was all very good, though I've had better creme brulee.  I highly recommend the strawberry salad.

I appreciated the rich history of Old Ebbitt's and, given the opportunity would try the oysters at their bar.

I plan to share more photos and reviews from the different cities I visited this summer.  Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

That place looks awesome! I love eating out; it's one of my favorite things to do with family & friends.

Also, thank you SO much for typing up your exercise routine! I'm definitely going to take it all on board. When I was growing up I was always 'the skinny girl' and I hated exercise, so I just ate whatever I liked and ignored physical activity! But when I turned 20 and was in my final year of university, I was under a lot of stress and ate a LOT of junk. I put on tons of weight (18 lbs!) so I started to exercise, but I've only lost about 7 lbs so I have a long way to go. Oh well, I suppose I just have to keep trying - I'm just not used to *needing* to work out! :)
