Guest Remix: Rachel from Inspiration in Italy

***Hello lovely readers!  Thank you for all of your great comments lately.  They really make my day and give me fun ideas.  DC has been awesome and I am excited to share my pictures with you after the vacation is over.  I'll be catching up on your blogs and commenting soon.  For now I have a special treat for you I have asked Rachel of Inspiration in Italy to do a Guest Remix post to take Place of this week's Friday Remix Wrap Up.  For those of you who read her, you already know she is talented, fabulous, gorgeous and incredibly kind.  In her blog, she showcases the beautiful pieces that she and her husband create, as well as their traveling adventures.  Enjoy the rest of the post!
xoxoxo

First of all, thank you so much Lisa for featuring me. It is truly an honour! For the remix challenge, I chose my yellow plaid shirt which I'm sure many of my regular blog readers will remember quite well. Since I am constantly traveling, I do not have the luggage space to be constantly shopping and buying new things. I don't even see the point of buying clothing that will only be worn once or twice, so the remix challenge is perfect for me. I thrive on finding new ways to wear all of my current pieces.
This plaid shirt is one of them. I paired it with a navy blue high-waisted mini skirt (Vertigo from France), blue sweater (H&M), brown boots (bought in Italy), and a blue headband for a more preppy look. Some of my readers mentioned this preppy look is similar to a Gossip Girl look.
I also wore the yellow plaid shirt with my tweed pencil skirt (designed and handmade by us) and green jacket (designed and handmade by us), tie and heels for a more sophisticated classic look. With my hair in a bun, I felt the outfit had a chic almost vintage vibe.
Then for a tour of the Loro Piana facilities, I needed to dress in more office-inspired attire since we would be surrounded by suits. I paired the plaid shirt with a mini grey vest (purchased in Prague), high-waisted beige pencil skirt (purchased in Italy) and black platform heels. This look created an office look.
For a semi-dressy outing with my husband's grandmother and her brother, I paired the yellow plaid shirt with a simple black skirt and black platform heels. With my hair up, it was a little dressy and a little casual. I think this made the perfect simple chic look.
Lastly, I paired the yellow plaid shirt with cut-off jean shorts (7's jeans) for a country girl look. I wore it with heels to dress it up slightly (my style) and it was perfect for a day out in Wheatville.

Again, be sure to check out Rachel's blog!  Have a great weekend!
